Senior Softball-USA Announces Southern Showcase

Senior Softball USA logoSenior Softball-USA has announced a major expansion in the Southeast for 2019, adding six National Qualifiers. We have been asked to offer more tournaments throughout the Southeast – and we heard you!

These new qualifiers offer affordable entry fees and competitive divisions – rosters will be checked with the best rating system in the sport! The new qualifiers mark the single biggest expansion in a region in more than a decade for Senior Softball USA.

The Qualifiers include:

  • April 13-14: Music City Classic in Franklin, TN (Entry Deadline: March 29)
  • April 25-28: Peach Bowl in Gwinnett County, GA (Entry Deadline: April 11)
  • May 18-19: Old South Classic in Savannah, GA (Entry Deadline: May 3)
  • July 6-7: Palmetto Challenge in Spartanburg, SC (Entry Deadline: June 21)
  • Aug. 17-18: Myrtle Beach Blast in Myrtle Beach, SC (Entry Deadline: August 2)
  • Aug. 24-25: Last Chance Cullman Qualifier in Cullman, AL (Entry Deadline: August 9)
    *Play in any one of the above qualifiers to qualify for the 2019 LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters Championships in Las Vegas, NV

Special Promotions

The following promotions include playing in the first five qualifiers – the Southern Showcase: Music City Classic, Peach Bowl, Old South Classic, Palmetto Challenge, and *Southern Championships (TOC Qualifier).

  • $100 off Eastern National Championships if you play in three of the five qualifiers ($100 off of Palmetto Challenge if you play in first three qualifiers).
  • Play in four of the five and win a FREE BAT! ($100 off of the Southerns for teams playing in first four qualifiers).
  • Play in all five and take $200 off the Eastern Nationals.

The following promotions include the final two qualifiers – the Last Chance Southern Classics:

  • Play in the Myrtle Beach Blast and get FREE ENTRY to Last Chance Cullman Qualifier.
  • Play in the Last Chance Cullman Qualifier and win a FREE BAT!

TOC Qualifiers in Region

Along with these six new qualifiers, SSUSA will host the usual four major qualifiers in the region, which are designated as Tournament of Champions (TOC) qualifiers.

Winning teams in the Tidewater Classic (Virginia Beach, VA; April 3-7), Atlantic Coast Championships (Raleigh, NC; May 14-19), Southern Championships (Valdosta, GA; July 13-14), and the Eastern National Championships (Loudoun County, VA, July 30-August 4) will all receive a berth to the TOC in Polk County, FL in February 2020. The Atlantic Coast, Southern, and Eastern National Championships all have new locations for 2019.

Winners from the Eastern National Championships also take the first step towards the Triple Grand Slam, earning a spot in the U.S. National Championship game, held during seeding play at the World Masters Championships. Playing in the U.S. National Championship game offers teams the opportunity to enter bracket play as a top two seed.
