We’re excited to invite your athlete to the 2025 Central PA Scout Day, powered by Big Time Softball and sponsored by PA Impulse—a premier opportunity for serious players to showcase their talent and take the next step toward college softball.
This event isn’t just another workout—it’s a structured, professionally run combine designed to identify standout athletes and give them the verified data and video content they need to get recruited.

Date: Saturday, August 2, 2025
Time: 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM (registration begins at 9:30 AM)
Location: North Middleton Park

Who: Open to uncommitted 7th–12th grade players
Deadline to Register: July 16, 2025 @ 12:00 PM or until full
Why This Matters
As we head into the Fall travel season, college recruiters and our Big Time Softball scouts are actively identifying players to follow. Athletes tend to show their best during this time—coming off high school seasons and training gains—and this is a prime opportunity to update player profiles and gain exposure.

9:30 AM - 10:00 AM: Player Registration and Warm-up
Players arrive and complete registration, including providing necessary information and waivers.
Players have time for warm-up, stretching, and getting acquainted with the event area.
10:00 AM : Intro to the Day
20/40-Yard Dash
Players participate in the 20 & 40-yard dash assessment, where their speed and acceleration are measured.
Hitting Assessment
Players take turns at hitting stations, where exit velocity and hitting mechanics are assessed and players batting skills and power are measured.
Infield and Outfield Assessment
Infield and outfield drills are conducted to evaluate players' fielding skills, including ground balls, pop-ups, and throws.
Players showcase fielding range, accuracy, and arm strength.
Catcher Pop Time Assessment
Catchers participate in pop time assessments to measure their quickness in throwing out baserunners.
Players showcase receiving skills, transfer times, and arm strength.
Pitching Assessment
Pitchers take the mound for assessments of their pitch velocity, accuracy, and command.
Players showcase pitching mechanics and ability to control various pitches.
