Powered by Lexie Hames (#1 player in 6A), Seneca Valley has outscored their opponents 32-6 through 6 games, including a 6-0 win on the road against Quakertown.
2.) Downingtown East (5-0)
After a state quarterfinal appearance last year, Downingtown East has started the 2024 season 5-0, including a big win over Avon Grove. Downingtown East has a chance to win every time Rachel Schumann (#2 player in 6A) is in the circle.
3.) North Penn (5-1)
The defending 2023 6A state champs are loaded with talent again this year, including Gianna Cimino (#7 player in 6A). The Knights are in prime position to make a run at back to back state titles.
4.) Greencastle-Antrim (6-0)
Greencastle-Antrim, a 2023 state tournament team, has started the 2024 season off with a 6-0 record. With Meadow Gambacurta (#5 player in 5A) leading the way, Greencastle-Antrim may have one of the most potent lineups in the state, scoring 80 runs across their first 6 games.
5.) Northern York (3-0)
The defending 5A state champs are undefeated to begin the 2024 season. The Polar Bears and Sammy Magee (#6 player in 5A) are a force to be reckoned with and are looking to repeat as state champs.
6.) Hempfield Area (3-0)
After finishing the 2023 season as 6A state finalists, Riley Miller (#4 player in 6A) and the Spartans have picked up right where they left off, starting the season 3-0 while allowing just 3R through their 1st 3 games.
7.) Blue Mountain (5-0)
Marla Freiwald (#1 player in 4A) and Blue Mountain are off to a 5-0 start, dominating opponents to the tune of a combined score of 79-4 through their first 5 games as they look to defend their 2023 PIAA state title.
8.) Carmichaels (3-0)
With an uber talented young core returning after a state quarterfinals appearance last year, Carmichaels is as dangerous a team as you can find in PA. Bailey Barnyak (#5 player in 1A), Carys McConell (#7 player in 1A), Ali Jacobs (#8 player in 1A), and Katie Waggett (BTS open ID standout) have Carmichaels ready to make another run at a state title.
9.) Juniata (3-0)
Juniata is off to a great start as they look to return to the state championship game after finishing as runner up in 2023. With one of the top pitchers in the state, Elizabeth Gaisor (#2 player in 3A), leading the way, Juniata looks to be a formidable squad again this season.
10.) Quakertown (4-1)
Off to an impressive 4-1 start to the year, with their only loss coming to #1 ranked Seneca Valley, Ava Beal (#3 player in 6A), Leah Schwalm (#8 player in 6A), and Quakertown are positioned to make some noise in the 2024 season.
